How To Check Backlinks To My Site
So you have been building and building links, and now it is time to start looking for how many of them have been indexed by Google, how many of them have stuck, and how many of them are worthless. Today, I would like to go over a few different ways that you can check your backlinks.
One easy way to check for backlinks is by going over to Firefox and downloading the SEO Quake plugin. This plugin will allow you to check all of your backlinks in Yahoo Site Explorer with ease. It will also let you spy on your competitors backlinks so you can copy what they have done and beat them in the rankings.
Another great way to check for backlinks is by heading over to Backlinkwatch.com. Just type in your domain name into the search box and hit the submit button. (watch out for the pop-up). It will load up and you will be able to see all of your backlinks.
The last way to see some of your backlinks is by typing your domain name in quotes into Google.
This will display all of the backlinks that contain your url.
Overall, you should be checking your backlinks only few times a month. Don’t go crazy and check them everyday. This will only distract you on where you would like to be in the next month, two months, or even a year. Check them one in a great while when you are bored, and stay focused on your goals. Good luck
